Our 7th and 8th grades make up our Junior High. The core curriculum includes Literature, History, Spelling, Grammar, Religion, Science, General Math, 7th PreAlgebra, 8th PreAlgebra and 8th Algebra. In addition, students take four Enrichment Classes per week (see Enrichment Page) As the leaders of the school, the junior high students participate in a variety of activities and events that help prepare them for their high school careers.
Students in Junior High compete in the University High School Math Fair, and submit projects to the Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair (SARSEF) sponsored by the University of Arizona.
Junior High students have the opportunity to belong to many organizations that promote our Student Learning Expectations. We have chapters of S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions), National Junior Honor Society, and Student Council. Junior high students are Peer Educators and Peer Mediators.
